His stage is his comfort zone, and that´s basically where the 21-year-old Magnus Berg would rather spend all of his time, if it was up to him.

That´s where he can live out his whole specter of feelings, energy and communicative skills. His extreme guitar virtuosity, vocal presence and brilliant band, has for years already brought him around loads of club venues in Europe and the USA.

Magnus Berg picked up the guitar as a six-year-old kid, and since then he has never left it. His did his first show at the age of twelve and his debut album “Going to St. Pete” (featuring three songs together with his friend and mentor Mike Zito from the Royal Southern Brotherhood) was released when he had just turned fifteen.

His second album “Cut Me Loose” was released in 2014 and received raving reviews in both Norway and the USA. It went to the top of the Roots Music Report chart (where it spent a total of 30 weeks), it was voted “Best New Album” by Blues Blast Magazine and it got a lot of radio airplay in the USA.

His third album is finally ready, the guitar prodigy has grown up, put the cover songs aside and packed his new album full of newly written originals. The album is entitled “In My Shoes” and is due out on September the 8th. It´s an album full of blues and blues rock, but it also contains songs showcasing broader side and deeper understanding for other R&B formats such as vintage soul music. “In My Shoes” is an honest and true and joyful listening experience made by an amazing musician and songwriter that via his songs certifies his love to music. As always, he is backed by his amazing band; Bo Berg on the bass guitar and Tomas Pettersen on the drums.

Magnus Berg was born in Norway in 1996. He received his first guitar (built by his grandfather) at the age of seven. Early on, Berg discovered classic rock and the first guitarist he tried to emulate was Angus Young (AC/DC). He took his admiration of Young and other classic rock guitarists even further, setting out to discover the roots of the music he was listening to. This is where he found the Blues and artists such as B.B King, Howlin Wolf, Muddy Waters, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Otis Rush and Jimmy Reed. These musicians have become the inspiration behind his melodic and gutsy guitar style.
