Group that achieved notoriety singing in Quechua. Formed in Ayacucho in 1994, first playing covers of Nirvana in Quechua, and later blues from the 60's and 70's. The initial group was almost entirely made up of Ayacucho musicians, with the exception of Fredy Ortiz from Andahuaylas. These musicians were: Igor Montoya, Tampa, Koki, Mr. Blues and Jaime Pacheco who later left for personal projects. Igor traveled and Fredy went to Lima, working as a policeman, taking the models obtained in the rehearsals and putting the group back together in Lima with the same name, but with other members.

Uchpa, already with 2 albums in their career released a third album in 2000, Qukman Muskiy, as always singing rock & blues only in Quechua. And it is with that album that they become much better known in the Peruvian capital. (Translated from Spanish)

Personnel: Fredy Ortiz (vocals); Ivo Flores (drums); Marcos Maizel (lead guitar); Julio Valladares (second guitar); Miguel Ángel Cruz (bass); Juan Espinoza (waqrapuku).
