Iker Piris and Blas Picón join forces and talent in a duo of proven chemistry and originality. Piris has shown his genius as a guitarist, singer and songwriter in his works “My Time” (2012) and “Do It Yourself” (2014), providing a vision and a sound typical of the Blues scene. Born in Tolosa in 1979, he started playing the guitar by himself at age fourteen. His first approach with the Blues was through a friend who showed him the basic tricks on the guitar, in addition to three albums he heard: Guitar Watson's "Witchcraft", B.B. King's "Live at the Regal" and Robert Cray's "False accusation”. He has been playing since then, on stage since 1997. In June 2009 he finished his studies at the Conservatory of Music of the Basque Country, Musikene. From that same year until 2018, he leads the project The Romanticos. The band releases three albums: “My time” 2012, “Do it yourself” 2014, “Good vibrations” 2017.

Nowadays, his partners in crime are the French rhythm section formed by Abdell B. Bop (Nico Duportal, Junior Watson, Lynwood Slim, Duke Robillard) on double bass, and Andy Martin (Chris Ruest, Shawn Pittman) on drums, performing his new project: Iker Piris & his Dual Electras. They just recorded an album under the title of "Electra” that is composed completely of original songs and it has guests like the harp. players Greg Izor, Nico Wayne Toussaint and Víctor Puertas on piano.

Passionate about acoustic blues, he releases his first solo album under the title “Solo” in 2019. He has shared the stage with artists such as Chris Ruest, Paul Orta, Blas Picón, with who he published in 2015 the acoustic blues album “Heartbreackin men”, Nico Wayne Toussaint, José Ramírez from Costa Rica, Greg Izor, Thomas Trousier, Melvin Davis, Jesse Dee, The Velvelettes, Kim Weston from Motown label, Sheilah Cuffy, and others. He has played in Zacatecas Blues in Mexico, Relache Festival in Bourdeaux, Blues Festival of Lleida, Les Rendez-Vous De L'erdre in Nantes, Hondarribia, Puente Genil, Blues Festival of O Barco, Jazz/Blues Festival of L'Hospitallet, to name a few.
