After 50 years of playing music, legendary keyboard/organ player Reese Wynans steps into the spotlight with his first solo album "Reese Wynans and Friends: Sweet Release".

Reese Wynans has played with everybody since the late 60's, from Duane Allman to Boz Scaggs to Jerry Jeff Walker and Carole King, before his famous stint in Stevie Ray Vaughan's band Double Trouble. Since 2015 he has been an integral part of Joe Bonamassa's band, playing to worldwide audiences.

On "Sweet Release", Reese is joined by his Double Trouble bandmates Tommy Shannon and Chris Layton, guitarists Joe Bonamassa, Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Doyle Bramhall II, vocalists Sam Moore and Bonnie Bramlett, and many others, to pay tribute to songs from his recording career with Stevie Ray Vaughan, and other favorites, like bluesmen Otis Rush and Tampa Red.

Free Blues, by internationally acclaimed Blues guitarist Nuno Mindelis, celebrates a Blues Phoenix arising from the ashes. Blues music has undergone rediscovery and rebirth as it is passed from generation to generation. Eric Clapton and others helped deliver Blues reborn in the 1960's and 1970's. The Blues deserve more than a rote replay in exactly the same way as we have heard it for over 40 years. There is more to Blues than merely Blues Rock.

To honor those who have kept the Blues alive, Nuno first looked back to twelve themes which touched him deeply in his early teenage years. Tributes to the icons of the Blues, like Steve Cropper ("Get Stax, Jax"), are served, with tasty versions of the Blues classics ("Dust My Broom," "The Thrill is Gone," and many others, ending with a blistering rendition of Hendrix' "Red House"). Some tracks, like George Harrison's "While My Guitar Gently Weeps," and "Feelin' Alright" by Dave Mason, are not part of the traditional Blues canon, but are critical to the development of the Blues nonetheless. Nuno follows these early mentors, who injected electricity and rock into the origianal rural blues form. They triggered an explosion of innovation and revolution in the language of the Blues, making it accessible to new generations. Indeed, without this innovation, the Blues might now be found only in a museum.

Free Blues continues the rebirth of the Blues, but now infusing the contemporary musical language instead of the Rock themes of the 60's. The true art is maintaining the traditional format of guitar and vocals as the foundation upon which Free Blues is crafted. Nuno creates a stunning and energized journey through the Blues that will both please Blues traditionalists and introduce this vital music to a new generation, just as the rock artists did decades ago. Make no mistake-- Free Blues is not electronica, hip hop, or some watered down Blues-tinged bouillabaisse-- it is the real Blues.

Josh began a serious music interest when meeting B.B. King at the age of 16. Blues became a passion after he dabbled with hard rock, pop, jazz, and a wee bit of country. He spent the last year traveling all over TX and beyond, providing headlining support for the House of Blues (Dallas & Houston), state fairs, festivals and casinos. His most recent album (World N' Trouble featuring bassist Tommy Shannon from SRV & Double Trouble) was submitted into the 56th Annual Grammy Awards.

Early in 2014 Josh made his television debut on Good Day Austin Fox 7. Not to mention, collaborating with Hall of Famers, Grammy Award Winners, and co-writing with up and comers alike, at his very own recording studio, Studio Knights. The passion and meaning within the songs he sings and writes are revealed in the emotional hard cry, flowing from his guitar.

New England based Jay Willie Blues Band has been playing clubs, and festivals for nearly a decade. Jay started playing the guitar at the age of 12. His uncle Tony gave Jay some Blues records to listen to, including Muddy Waters, Roy Buchanan, Ry Cooder, BB King, and Johnny Winter, and from that point on all Jay wanted to do was spend hours listening to these records and emulating the guitar parts. Growing up, one of the artists that Jay respected the most for his commitment and understanding of the blues was Johnny Winter. In 2001 Jay, along with vocalist and guitar player Bob Callahan, formed the Jay Willie Blues Band, with former Johnny Winter Bobby T Torello on drums. After releasing two albums they contacted Tommy Shannon, another Johnny Winter sidekick from the early years, including the original Woodstock Festival, who’d later become even better know for his work with another giant of Texas Blues; the late great Stevie Ray Vaughan. Tommy liked what he heard and ended up playing bass on “The Reel Deal”

Although the Jay Willie Blues Band writes very good original songs, they pride themselves in recognizing and tastefully performing songs of the early Blues and Roots artists, while always injecting their very own personality, intensity and groove in their performances and recordings.

Creating a CD, at least comparable to our 2013 ZOHO release New York Minute was a definite challenge. The worldwide reviews were all extremely complimentary and our challenge was what would we do for an encore. I contacted harmonica extraordinaire Jason Ricci who was a featured artist on New York Minute and he was very willing to participate on a new project. That alone gave me great incentive and a basis to create another smokin' recording. Bob Callahan, Bobby Torello and I wrote some new material and chose some tasteful covers that we believe are expressive of our musical spectrum from early delta style music to high energy blues rock, but performed with our individual enthusiasm and piquancy. We are not your typical Snooze Blues band nor do we want to be. If you like blues that is repetitious and holds on to one guitar note for 10 seconds this record may not be for you.

A recent addition to the regular gigging Jay Willie Blues Band is bassist Steve Clarke. Steve is one of New England's most talented and sought after bassists/composers with a resume of performances or recordings with The Yellow Jackets, Theresa Wright Quartet, Patxi, Tower of Power, Melvin Sparks, Pieces of a Dream, Esteban and his own Funky-Jazz-Fusion Band The Steve Clarke Trio with seven successful CD’s to its credit. Steve’s creative style elevates the band to a new level, and this is clearly demonstrated with his solo at the conclusion of Dirty 2:30.

We are proud to introduce our newest feature artist, singer Suzanne Vick. Suzanne has been voted “Best Singer/Songwriter” in the New Haven Advocate’s 2010 & 2011 Grand Band Slams. She teaches voice, piano and music theory at the RVP Studio in West Haven, CT.

McCoy has electrified Florida for years, first with the Screaming Bluejays in Orlando, then with the Telephone Kings in St. Petersburg, who released a CD in 1993 that included 3 former members of the Gregg Allman band.
