The album was recorded in Brazil, at the Blue Crawfish Records studio in São Carlos, and features the Netto Rockefeller Trio, consisting of Netto Rockfeller (guitar), Guilherme Ambrózio (bass) and Danilo Hansem (drums). The album features own compositions as well as shuffles, boogies and ballads written by other great blues and rhythm & blues composers.

Italian guitarist/singer/songwriter Luca Giordano’s 3rd album “Let’s Talk About It” will be released by the Brazilian label BLUE CRAWFISH RECORDS.

A collection of personal stories and feelings, the album was produced and mixed by Fabio Colella at SASHA STUDIOS (Trasacco Italy) and includes 11 songs; 8 originals by Luca Giordano as well as songs written by Mighty Mo Rodgers, Eric “Guitar” Davis and Sean Costello.

The core of the band on the CD is formed by Luca Giordano on guitar and vocals, virtuoso Hammond organ and piano player Abramo Riti, Walter Cerasani on bass, and drummer/producer Fabio Colella, and there are guest appearances from the legendary Mighty Mo Rodgers (the Blues Prophet who once produced Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee), and the explosive tenor sax player Sax Gordon who wrote horn arrangements for 4 of the songs.

Other special guests from Italy also made great contributions to the recording including trumpet player Alessandro Di Bonaventura, bass players Walter Monini and Nicola Di Camillo, drummers Lorenzo Poliandri and Eric Cisbani, Chiara Giordano on background vocals and Francesco Cerasoli is featured with a guitar solo on “Cold Winter.”

While many Blues fans recognize Luca Giordano as the band-leader for touring artists like Mighty Mo Rodgers, Chris Cain, Bob Stroger, Billy Branch, Sax Gordon, Leon Beal, Toni Lynn Washington, Nora Jean Bruso, Jimmy Burns, the late Eric “Guitar” Davis, and many others, “Let’s Talk About It” further establishes Luca as an important contemporary voice on the international Blues scene.

Italian guitarist Luca Giordano and Spanish harmonica player Quique Gomez both loved Chicago blues and decided to travel there to immerse themselves in Chicago blues. Coincidentally, the two Europeans were there at the same time, met each other and decided to do something together. In the meantime they just kept busy with their own band and career, but every now and then they went out together. After doing this for a year or two and also making some friends in Chicago, two years ago they entered the studio with some of those friends and the album "Chicago '3011 Studios' Sessions" was recorded. Those friends are not the least. In addition to the accompanists Ariyo (piano), Harlan Terson (bass) and Marty Binder (drums), bassist Bob Stroger, guitarists Jimmy Burns, Eddie C. Campbell, Breezy Rodio, Pete Galanis and harmonica player Billy Branch. The album consists of six original compositions, six adaptations of classics and a jam as a bonus. What we are presented with here is excellent Chicago blues, made by enthusiasts. That should be obvious. There is nothing new under the sun; it's just good-sounding old-fashioned Chicago blues. The six covers are performed well, of which “Outskirts Of Town” is an outlier for me, but their own work stands head and shoulders above that. A special mention deserves “The Fool” and “Three Wheels Automobile”. A fruitful cooperation between Spain and Italy on American soil. Every blues fan should listen to this.

Italian blues ace Luca Giordano and his band offer up a great new album with nine super original cuts and two thoughtful and well-done covers. Blending blues, jazz and funk in a very soulful manner, Giordano shows us he is one of the premier bluesmen from the European continent and that he can hang with the best of them in the blues world.

The album starts off with a little swinging original instrumental tune called “Jumpin’ Eye.” Giordano picks out a beautiful melody on his guitar and Fabrizio Ginoble musically tussles with him as he nimbly offers up some sweet lead and accompaniment on the Hammond organ. “Never Enough” follows and introduces us to the horn section of Sax Gordon on tenor sax, Mark Earley on baritone sax and Doug Woolverton on trumpet. They and Luca provide listeners with a nice little intro before Luca takes the lead on vocals. Walter Cerasani on bass and Alessandro Svampa on the drums lay out a great groove here and throughout the album. Ginoble appears on organ again, too; it’s a well-crafted and bluesy swinging song! The title track is next; Luca gives us a soulful delivery and Ginoble is again very impressive on the organ and keys. Blending blues and jazz themes, the song has a great solo by Giordano on his guitar. “When I’ll Be Gone” is another tasty instrumental featuring the duo of Giordano and Ginoble again. These two guys are really in synch and can really deliver the goods when they play together!

A beautiful cover of “Since I Met You Baby” is soulfully rendered by Giordano on guitar. Ginoble’s piano and the horn section add a sinfully sweet set of musical layers to this cut, but Giordano is the star here with a great guitar lead. “Curly Hair Woman” is a jumpy original where Giordano grits out the lead on vocals and spars with the keys and horns in this rocking blues song. The instrumental “Cold Valley” follows. Organ and horns give us a really grooving intro as the bass also picks out a big groove and the drums punctuate and drive the cut along smartly. Luca comes in for a dramatic solo about halfway through; another impressive cut! “One Way Road” is a funked-up song with Luca looking for a way out of life’s one way road. More great work on the organ and another well craft guitar solo demonstrate Giordano’s songwriting and the talents of this fine band. The dreamy “Pami” blends jazz and blues as Giordano’s guitar and Ginoble’s organ wistfully interplay on this song that seems specifically made for slow dancing with your woman.

The final two cuts are labelled “Organ Trio Session” and feature Giordano, Ginoble and Fabio Colella on drums. “Flyin’ Back To My Baby” features Giordano crooning (with a little call and response from the other two guys) in this swinging tune. The three really hit things off well and Colella makes the snare an intimate part of the proceedings along with Ginoble’s organ work. Giordano does not leave us dry; he gives us another savory solo on his six-string. Singing to his woman about coming back home, we get the feeling this is Giordano and the band talking and playing to us in a heartfelt manner about going home after a long tour in the US or Europe. It builds to a nice, big and beautiful instrumental finish. They close with a slow Carlos Johnson blues tune. A very cool, long instrumental intro starts things off thoughtfully, and then Luca guts out an impassioned vocal lead as he also picks out some dirty blues on his ax. Ginoble offers another outstanding solo as he, too, bares his soul for us. The minimalist sound of the trio is just spectacular.

This is a really great album showcasing Giordano and the fine musicians he has surrounded himself with. Singing in his lilting Italian accent, we get some great vocals and playing by Luca and his band. This is Luca’s best album to date. His songwriting shows maturity and complexity. His musicianship is faultless and the band is up to his challenge as they, too, deliver each song with gusto and intense feeling. Born in Teramo, Italy, 1980, Luca Giordano started to play his guitar when he was 20 years old, improving year by year his style with a deep passion for the Blues.

After a period in Italy playing with his first band "Jumpin Eye Blues Quintet", he moves to Chicago where he starts many collaborations with several blues Artists. He plays with Les Getrex Band, guitar player for Fats Domino, with fantastic singer Sharon Lewis and her Texas Fire Band, with the legendary JW Williams for more than one month as substitution for his regular exceptional guitar player Shun Kikuta, who was touring with Koko Taylor. In the same period he performs in many italian festivals and clubs together with Sax Gordon, Nellie Tiger Travis, and with some of the best italian musicians, the drummer Mr Vince Vallicelli and incredible Hammond player Pippo Guarnera.

In 2008 he meets in Chicago Eric Guitar Davis, and they start a very good collaboration and friendship. They play together all over Italy and Lithuania with Luca's band and all over United States with Eric's band, The TroubleMakers. In few years Eric Davis is becoming one of the most exciting new generation performer, and they start to tour in many clubs in Illinois, Ohio, Missouri and Indiana and recently they played twice at the Chicago Blues Festival 2011 on the Crossroadstage and Windy City Blues Stage. During this last period he performs in the best clubs and festivals in United States and Europe with his band and also as sideman for Chicago Blues Legends like Bob Stroger, Willie Big Eyes Smith, Jimmy Burns and JW Williams. He also pays tribute to old school Chicago Blues together with his friend Quique Gomez playing in Europe and United States. Both focused on their first love, the old school traditional blues, they recorded two cds, one in Italy and one in Chicago with special guests Billy Branch, Eddie C Campbell, Jimmy Burns, Bob Stroger and they also performed for Chicago Blues Fest AfterParty at Rosa's Lounge Club backed up by Harlan Terson (Otis Rush, Lonnie Brooks) and Willie Big Eyes Smith (legendary Muddy Waters drummer). His first solo album titled "My Kind Of Blues" features Chris Cain, Sax Gordon, Bob Stroger, Linda and fantastic italian hammond and piano player Pippo Guarnera.
