Larry Goad grew up in Nashville Tennessee so music was a part of his life from the beginning. As a young 3 and 4 year old he listened to WLAC and WSM on a small radio next to his bed, this would spurr his love of music that would last a lifetime.he decided at 8 he would play drums as he really wanted to play guitar but his his fingers were small but he could hold sticks and he was off to the races. by 13 he was playing Nashvilles top rock bars.
His High school band Smoke House caught the attention of of rising Rock Stars Lynyrd Skynyrd and the singer would wear there shirt from time to time. But as luck would have it they had a plane crash and all hope of Smoke house getting a break were lost in a Miss. swamp. in his 20s he played with Sweetheart a Top Tier Bar band that traveled from Fla to Michigan and everywhere in between , then in the late 80s he joined Fly By Night a local bar band , that decided to become one of the biggest bands in the Florida Rock scene....they did.
in the 1990s he did the odd studio work but had over the years taught himself to play guitar nd bass as well as being a drummer, he could be his on band....the recording phase of his life started with producing good friend Lee Bogans CD, then a few local bands when a chance meeting with Artimus Pyle ( Lynyrd Skynyrds Drummer )...they hooked up to produce piles solo record Artimus Venomus .at the same time larry Hooked up with Cleopatra Records to record covers on a led Zepplin collection and well as several more working with Jimmy Hall ( wet willie ,Jeff Beck, and hank jr ) about 2010 Larry Started Dixie Tabernacle with Jimmy hall on vocals as well as Doug Phelps ( Ky Headhunters ) and old friend from Fly By Night Thane shearon. all on vocals doing southern rock the way it used to be. because of the touring Schedules of all the different bands Larry New it was Time to do a Solo Recording and this is it. GOAD playing most everything even singing with some lead guitar help of Tony Bowles and JD Simo...its raw because almost every song is a first take.
