This album is a collection of some of the songs that we frequently play live...songs that the audience really like and that we really enjoy playing. We love to play anything that's Chicago style, but mix it up with some traditional blues, rock and the occasional soul number.
We all grew up listening to and playing the same music in the late 60's and early 70's, when musicians were discovering the Blues roots of Rock 'n Roll. We didn't realize that the music we loved was being covered by our favorite bands, and only later did we start mining the history of the Blues to discover the original artists and songwriters. When The Suspects started playing together, we naturally gravitated toward the originators of the soundtrack of our youth, and began re-interpreting those songs in a way that felt right for us. We hope you enjoy listening as much as we enjoy playing.
