This Blues based trio explained that they grew up listening to music from the Impressions, Lou Rawls, Tyrone Davis, Sam Cooke, The Chi-Lites, The Dells and many more local groups on the AM radio. The group's leader, Jim “Ang” Anderson said Chicago Soul was part of the soundtrack to our childhood, and when we got older and were playing in the Blues clubs, R & B was what was on the jukebox. So it's a natural evolution for the band to incorporate our vocal harmonies and delve into some South Side Soul. In fact, when I was 20 years old, I was on the road with Little Milton, and he walked the line between Blues and R & B.
The band consisting of Anderson on guitar and lead vocals, Gus Gotsis on drums and vocals, and Mike Bailey Bass and vocals recruited some friends to play on the disc including Terry “Sonny Lee” Tritt on Sax and Jeff Walroth on Keys.
