The leading lady of Icelandic jazz, Kristjana Stefáns has finished the recording of her fifth solo album "Better Days Blues". There are 13 songs on the album, with three written by Kristjana herself.

The co-musicians on the album are: Agnar Magnusson (piano, hammond organ), Ómar Gudjonsson (guitar), Scott McLemore (drums), Valdimar Kolbeinn Sigurjónsson (double bass), Gunnar Hrafnsson (double bass), Vignir Þór Stefánsson (piano), Sigurður Flosason (saxophone), Ari Bragi Kjaransson (trumpet). Two of the songs – "Better Days Blues" and "Summertime" – are already being played on Icelandic radio and Kristjana will also be touring in Iceland and Europe.

Dawkins's appearance at a club in Reykjavik was effected by the singer and writer Chicago Beau, who takes his place on four of the ten tracks. Petursson is evidently at home with this sort of music but the bassist sometimes drags, and the guest guitar is under-recorded. Jimmy Dawkins played and sings on five tracks. On last track vocal provided by Andrea Gylfadottir. Except Dawkins and Beau, all musicians was from Iceland.

The members of Icelandic pop/rock band Foreign Land have been playing music together for almost ten years. The band’s original focus was on modern blues, but when they started writing their own songs a strong pop/rock flavor emerged.

Foreign Land’s musicians have diverse backgrounds but share the same passion for their music.

In September 2015 the band released their first album, "Voice of a Woman" under their new name, Foreign Land. The album expresses the voice of a woman who experiences joy, anger, love, sorrow, and regret.
