The blues/rock music of Dave Hoffheimer Band encompasses that great Chicago style from the first note, from the first vocal chord Dave sings. Everyone knows that you can’t teach the blues. You live it. The music is bluesy yet fun with the additional clever sounds that draw you in as a listener. Dave Hoffheimer Band has the type of sound that helps you drown out your worries from the day and week. Dave’s style of music reminds me of a gritty and funky new age Chicago blues band. It is not a typical blues sound. When I listen to Dave’s vocals, the tone of his voice transports me back into a local Chicago dive bar, the one with the “Old Style” sign hanging outside of the front door as the marquee. Dave and his band have found a way to infuse blues and rock into a refreshing mixture of music that transports me back to Chicago in my 18-year absence.
