As Pardo says: "One night, I was about ten years old, I found myself playing imaginary guitar with a broomstick to a Brian May solo for about two hours, same solo. It was late at night but it was so intense that I had to wake my mother up. I knew that was it, that was what I wanted". He started studying guitar the following day. However, he would be a self taught musician as he quit guitar lessons one year later. At the age of 16, he started playing in the pubs and blues clubs of his hometown. This was the beginning of a journey that would later take him to the best blues spots in the world.

"Ruccula for Dracula" is the nineth disc of the argentine singer, guitarist and composer.
Pardo has been touring worldwide for the last 15 years, with his own project or playing as a sideman for american Blues artists like Michael Burks, Vasti Jackson, Kenny Wayne, Jimmy Burns, Bob Stroger just to mention a few.

Rolling Stone Magazine said " Pardo reminds us of Robert Cray, Clapton or John Mayer but with a new and disctintive approach"

In this album Pardo gets back to his Blues roots after flirting with spanish original "pop" tunes in his last record " 13 formas de limpiar una sartén" (2014)

The virtuous guitarrist found an exquisite balance between the search of fresh sounds and the Blues
Pardo is joined by american legends Kenny Blues Boss Wayne, Vasti Jackson, Bob Stroger and Doug James to make this record even better.

The CD was recorded mainly at Escuela de Blues de Madrid Studios and produced entirely by Jose Luis Pardo. The artist is also the principal of the Madrid Blues School since it´s been founded in 2011

In this new recording, 35 years old Pardo, shows his unique and personal approach to the guitar playing that mixes influences from Mississippi John Hurt to Al Greeny, from Jimmie Vaughan to James Brown and everything in between.

Willie Buck was born in 1937 in the small town of Houston, Mississippi. When he was a boy, Willie spent most of his time working at a local paper mill making $5 during the day and honing his voice by night. He began his craft singing in the most popular form of the day, "Rock & Roll." In spite of his vigor for the newly developing art form, his passions began to lean towards the more traditional sound of the delta... Blues. Believe you me, it didn't take him long to develop his sound. While still in "Da South," Willie performed on what became known as the "Chittlin Circuit" bouncin' between Mississippi, Georgia, Louisiana, North & South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas. Shortly after developing a reputation, Willie did like a lot of Southerners during that time by migrating to Chicago in 1954.
Once here, he truly immersed himself in the Chicago Blues scene. He became a real force in the "Maxwell Street" blues Legacy which boasts of the raw blues talent that it has produced. It was also here that he made his first recording titled "The Disco Blues". This also marked the beginning of his overseas travel to Canada, Mexico, France and Amsterdam. Willie was recently inducted in the Blues Hall of Fame among many of his fellow performers here in Chicago in the summer of 2004. Soon after, he released his latest CD, "I Wanna Be Loved" in early 2005. As the blues scene has declined here in the states, Willie has seen a resurgence... more like a movement in blues overseas. His music is profoundly affecting young and old alike in Europe. "I'm glad to see the newfound appreciation of my music in Europe. I'll be heading back there real soon!" he said. His sound is one that only gets better with age. He's hoping you grow to appreciate the blues too.
