Jen Staves was born in the L.A. area. She grew up singing and performing around the United States with her family "The King Family". Daughter of "Marilyn King", a famous Big Band jazz singer, also known as one of "The King Sisters". Father "Kent Larsen" was the lead trombonist and singer in the world renowned Big band "Stan Kenton".
Jen has been performing around the L.A. area featuring in the "Blistering Blues Band" with Guitarist of "Native Vibe" Bill Macpherson. Singing back up for Marilyn King and Cousin Jamie Green another indie pop artist. Her debut C.D. "What Lies Beneath" has 13 original tracks co-written, co-produced and featuring guitarist Bill Macpherson of "Native Vibe". Together with his influence of African, Latin, Jazz, Blues and Rock Music and her love for the art of Melody, Lyrics and Harmonies, "What Lies Beneath" produces a flavorful combination of Blues, Rock, Jazz, and Country...
