Since their humble beginnings winning the ARBA award for Most Outstanding New Act, The Associates have truly developed intoone of Australia's most uniquely new and exciting neo blues acts. Within 2 sort years, The Associates have quickly become a regular at Australian festivals. On February 17, The Associates made it to the semifinals of the International Blues Challemge in Memphis. As the first band to make this far from SA has been a massive achievement and one that certainly turned the heads of many blues fans. Further to this, a US based management contract was signed after showcasing in the famous Nashville band room the Bourbon St Blues and Boogie Club just prior to the IBC. The Associates are currently planning their first US tour on the back of their new album and success in Memphis.
