With a career expanding over ten years and with 7 albums under their belt, The Blues Swingers are a cornerstone in Chiles' growing Blues scene. With 10 years of experience and 7 albums released, THE BLUES SWINGERS is one of the most renowned Blues music groups in Chile. His particular stamp lies in being one of the few exponents of this genre who cultivates the style puristically, that is, his music is a faithful reflection of the different styles that emerged from the ensembles between the 1940s and 1960s, in U.S.
It is as well as within its repertoire we can find from the purest Chicago Blues, happening through the Swing and Jump Blues of the coast the west, until the hard Shuffles that were popularized in Texas.
At the moment the band is in a phase of launching of its seventh disc "Escaping from my wife", just released this year 2018. After its last two cds were included within the best 40 discs of the year 2015 and 2016 respectively, by the prestigious US magazine, Blues Junction, The expectations for this new work are very high. Especially considering that they had the participation of two international luxury guests, such as the experienced American guitarist, Pete Schmidt and the outstanding Argentine musician, Daniel Raffo.

This is the sixth album from the Santiago, Chile, based band The Blues Swingers (formerly known as Nico and the Blues Swingers). This new work, entitled "Politically Incorrect", was featured among the 40 best albums of the genre by the prestigious American magazine Blues Junction.

The band, which already has a 10-year history, is one of the few that cultivates the style of the blues in its classic form, following the faithful reflection of the different currents that arose between the 40s and 60s in the United States. Within its repertoire one can find from the purest blues of the post war Chicago, going through the swing and jump blues of the west coast.

The Santiago, Chile, based band just released their fifth album. Formerly known as Nico and the Blues Swingers, The Blues Swingers are still led by led by Nicolas Wernakink, who wrote all thirteen tunes on this thirteen song joy ride through various blues styles from the Chicago, Texas and mostly West Coast traditions. Wernakink is also the band’s vocalist, who plays guitar and piano in this five piece ensemble. The Blues Swingers are anchored by the rhythm section of bassist Johan Pasten and drummer Edward Grez. The band’s fine harp player is Erwin Lost. Felipe Ruf plays guitar and shines throughout the entire CD. This little something is worth a listen... The entire record is a lot of fun and like the band’s name implies, it swings hard.
