Songs from a Bottomless Well, the debut full-length album from acclaimed musician, guitarist and songwriter Wyatt Lowe, was released April 2015 on Wild Mountain Music. A single, “Ain’t it a Shame,” can be heard via Soundcloud. In advance of the release, Lowe and his band – Pete Closson (drums), Dave Bundy (bass), and Jason Fritts (saxophone) – ventured to Chicago to play a series of shows both in and outside of the city.
Produced by Lowe and Closson, Songs from a Bottomless Well was recorded at Jackson’s own North Cache Recording and Performance Studios. Lowe also features on the album two of Southern California’s premiere roots/rock guitarists, Scottie Blinn of Black Market III, and Tommy Harkenrider of the Memphis Kings. Of the new album, Lowe comments, “I really want this album to not only feature the roots of 50s and 60s rock n roll, channeling artists like Chuck Berry and Eddie Cochran, but also a more contemporary approach. I also want this album to really showcase lots of verbose guitar sounds, slapback delay, and the warm sound of a reel-to-reel tape machine.”
