"Lighting Tommy and Curly Bee" is what happens when two friends reach back to the beginnings of modern Rock and Roll, Jazz, and R & B in the stylistic origins of the Delta Blues.

Lighting Tommy (Tommy Rice) and Curly Bee (Brian Blache) are Sheriff's Deputies whose common backgrounds in church choirs as young boys, and Blues interests as grown men have brought them together.

Becoming best of friends, this merger has blossomed their individual talents and ideas into a sound that others have long since forgotten... The authentic recordings of the original Delta Blues.

Brian, who often records in his car, and Tommy who is one of the last spare bedroom, self-taught guitarists record songs in such a way to intentionally produce old-timy, small room acoustics, tape-hiss, and amplifier buzz that defines their sound... Bringing the Blues back to where it came from.

Although we enjoy playing Blues with electric guitars and amplified equipment, Home Cookin' is a collection of all original acoustic soundtracks that began as a benefit project for a local health screening event. The title track “Home Cookin” is a Southern Zydeco style tune that will sure get your foot stomping.

We currently have over 40 original songs that are being finalized for release. The follow-up release to Home Cookin' will be a CD comprised of original tracks featuring Lightning's electric guitar, and Curly's three-string electric guitar and harmonica.

We hope you enjoy it as much as we have making it.
