Levee Town, formed in 2002, is a blues rock band based out of Kansas City, Missouri. The band consists of Brandon Hudspeth on guitar and vocals, Jacque Garoutte on bass and vocals, and Adam Hagerman on drums. When they are not touring, Levee Town is the house band at the world famous Knuckleheads Saloon.

Since their formation, Levee Town has burned up the highway and stages all over the US and Canada. The band has released nine studio albums and one live album. They have also had the opportunity to open shows for well-known acts like Kenny Wayne Shepard, Buddy Guy, David Allen Coe, Lee Roy Parnell, Jimmy Vaughn, and many more. Additionally, they have served as a backing band for many notable musicians such as Curtis Salgado, Albert Lee, Louisiana Red, Chris Duarte, Lazy Lester, Kenny Neal, Lee McBee, Gary Nicholson, Big Bill Morganfield, Mud Morganfield, Randy Mcallister amongst others.

Levee Town strives to play original music while staying true to their love of American roots music. They were twice picked to represent KC in the International Blues Competition in Memphis where they reached the finals in 2009. Their album Takin and Given was picked to represent KC in the IBC in the best CD category and the album maintained a high charting position on the Roots Music Report.

Their most recent album, “Tryin to Keep My Head Above Water” was nominated by Blues Blast Magazine for “Best Blues Rock Album” of 2022. The album reached and maintained a number one position on the Roots Music Report, and is listed as the 20th best blues rock album of 2022. Levee Town's music showcases their passion for blues and rock, and their history of success is a testament to their talent and dedication. Their albums and performances are a must-see for any fan of American roots music.

Levee Town is truly reminiscent of the old rock n roll energy that very first dominated the stage, but with a searing blend of blues and rockabilly stylings. Since forming in 2002, the band has taken their powerhouse sound from the fertile Kansas City blues scene to festival stages all over the US. Known for their explosive live shows, this foursome has won adulation and critical praise the old-fashioned way - they earned it.

Fronted by a trio of talented singer-songwriters, Levee Town is never at a loss for fresh new material. In addition to playing an average of 250 dates a year, the band is constantly writing new songs and revamping the classics.

Their 2004 live debut Snapshot displayed the band's on-stage prowess and blistering live performance. In 2006, they released their first full-length studio effort Unstable Table which displayed a strong penchant for solid songwriting and inventive lyrics. Their 2009 album entitled simply LEVEE TOWN shows that the group continues to grow musically and contains the band's finest songwriting and production to date. Their current release, "Pages of Paperwork", offers a solid set of original blues rooted firmly in the traditional blues sound, but also mixed with traces of rock, country, and even a little bit of pop.

Celebrating their tenth anniversary this year, Levee Town is a tight four-piece of exceptionally talented musicians and songwriters perfecting a skin tight ensemble sound. Guitarist and vocalist Brandon Hudspeth’s style is a powerful mixture of blues, country & western, rock, and jazz. Jimmie Meade, the group’s harp man, brings to the table a love of Chicago Blues and an obvious affinity for jazz and country music. The bottom end is made up of Jacque Garoutte on bass and vocals, and Adam Hagerman on drums. This hard-charging duo chugs along with intensity and restraint, laying down the rock-solid foundation that the Levee Town sound is built on.

Levee Town has earned a reputation as one of the most hardworking bands around. Their awesome live shows and unique take on the blues have attracted an ever-widening fan base. Festival performances and a spot in the 2007 International Blues Challenge finals and 2010 semi-finals, have garnered the band national and international attention. In addition to their own live performances, they have backed Big Bill Morganfield, Kenny Neal, Lazy Lester, Lee McBee, Sandy Carroll and Louisiana Red. They have opened for Sonny Landreth, Buddy Guy, Watermelon Slim, and Chubby Carrier and are the house band at Knuckleheads, KC.

Festivals played include Kalamazoo Blues Festival, Illinois Blues Festival, King Biscuit Festival, Famous Dave’s Blues Fest, From Dusk ‘til Dawn Festival, Eureka Springs Blues Festival, Tulsa Blues Festival, Boundary Waters Blues Festival, Memphis In May Festival, Cherokee Blues Festival, Bean Blossom Festival, Des Moines Wintertime Blues Festival, Anglesea Blues Festival, Mt Helena Music Festival, Kansas City Kansas Street Blues Festival, and Gladstone Blues Festival.
