"This record is a celebration, mine, of the music I adore, the most evocative of the 20th century and perhaps ever - The Blues". With this phrase, Antonio Gambacorta 42 years old from Teramo introduces us to his latest work "Norah", dedicated to his recently born daughter. Norah is also the title of the ghost track, a wonderful electric ballad, intense and exciting, constantly growing and born by chance at the end of the sessions that alone is worth the price of the CD. Among the notes of the cd there is also a tribute to the small village Montorio al Vomano not far from Teramo of which Antonio is fascinated both for the people who live there - the musicians who accompany him come from Montorio - and for the almost magical atmosphere that you breathe.

Being a self-taught artist, he formed his first band in 2004 with Walter Monini on bass and Glauco Di Sabatino on drums and with them he recorded with his first CD "Mustang Blues Trio" (2006) which also sees the collaboration of Maurizio Pugno. The work received acclaim that led him to perform at various blues festivals and to open Roberto Ciotti's concerts. Also in 2006, he took part in the CD "Funkallero" by the world-famous jazz player Paolo Di Sabatino. In 2011, with the band Rockrace, he released a cd called "Valkirja", a hard rock album with blues influences consisting of ten unreleased tracks that received popular reviews from both European and American online newspapers. In 2018 he made the soundtrack for the documentary of the NGO Livin Nepal Dhanyabad, winner of several film awards.

In 2019 he comes out with "Norah", consisting of ten songs plus the ghost track mentioned above: three are composed by Antonio and the other seven songs are a tribute to famous bluesmen such as Robert Johnson, BB King, Howlin Wolf and the young Sean Costello whose untimely death left the blues world without an exponent with a bright future. In this adventure Antonio was accompanied by his faithful Tommaso Paolone on bass and Bruno Marcozzi on drums, an old style blues power trio that sees Massimiliano Coclite and Davide Grotta at Hammond as guests and Remo Leonzi's guitar.
