Jump, swing, blues, all the cool daddies, zippers and setzers of the late 90's should have hired a singer with the talent of veteran Savannah, Georgia, jump-blues expert Haywood Gregory. Gregory, who replaced the Jumpers' Eldridge Taylor, has great lung power, chooses his shrieking spots carefully and is funny and enthusiastic, battling with saxophonists Mike Hashim and Dan Alvero for control of the party song "Sinner." Perhaps owing to bandleader Jospeh Geary's presence on the drums, the Blues Jumpers build effectively from the rhythm section up, with the pianists and guitarists jumping in rather than piling on.

Lead by drummer Joe Geary, the Blues Jumpers emerged as one of the leading jump-blues bands from the east coast - taking the American swing scene revival by storm. "Wheels Start Turning" was the first release by this critically acclaimed 6 piece band that featured singer Eldridge Taylor who the LA Times said had a "grabbing, vital voice that echoes jump-blues heroes such as big Joe Turner and Louis Jordan."

The band helped pave the way for the Broadway musical Swing! and toured extensively before releasing two additional albums "Swingin Holiday" featuring Eldridge Taylor and "Livin' Like a King" featuring singer Haywood Gregory.
