Bob Petrocelli is a NYC-born multi-instrumentalist/singer/songwriter working in the Blues/Roots/ Americana vein-now located in the Tampa Bay area of Florida. Bob has received international radio airplay as both a singer/songwriter & guitarist. After many years as a sideman or co-leader for many diverse acts, Bob is fronting his own group. Bob has released his first solo CD, “Shanghai Shuffle”, a collection of Blues and Roots inspired material.
Bob was a Music Major at Hofstra University, and was involved in the Greenwich Village rock scene of the ‘60s playing such clubs as the Cafe Wha?, Night Owl Cafe, Cafe Bizarre, etc. During the 70’s and 80’s, he worked as a sideman and/or co-leader for a wide variety of local and touring acts. He composed, recorded, and produced music for radio and other commercial spots while running a recording service during the 80's. Since the early 90s, Bob has been focused on both roots based writing and performance using traditional blues and R&B as an inspiration as well as his interest in experimental instrumental music.

Guitarist/vocalist/songwriter Bob Petrocelli has many years of experience in a wide variety of musical styles, ranging from doo wop to rock to free jazz, in addition to his main focus on blues based material. Bob had appeared on over 10 CDs as a leader or sideman and contributed to over 50 digital download compilations. His previous solo blues CD received radio airplay worldwide in over sixteen countries and one song received a Billboard Song Award.
Originally from NYC, Bob relocated to the Tampa Bay area of Florida and has been appearing there regularly in a variety of musical settings. This album represents a trio date with two longtime collaborators, Joe Gregory on bass, and Charles "Chinatown Chuck" Bosselman on drums, providing rhythm section support and additional vocals.
Of the nine tracks on this collection, six are original compositions - five by Bob and one by Chinatown Chuck. Rounding out the collection are three covers, one each by Arthur Smith, Sonny Boy Williamson, and WAR.
The music here ranges from traditional blues and roots through blues rock and into funky jam based R&B and represents a portion of a typical night's gig from this trio of musicians.
