Gary Moore's tribute to Fleetwood Mac guitarist Peter Green, Blues for Greeny, is more of a showcase for Moore's skills than Green's songwriting. After all, Green was more famous for his technique than his writing. Consequently, Moore uses Green's songs as a starting point, taking them into new territory with his own style. And Moore positively burns throughout Blues for Greeny, tearing off licks with ferocious intensity. If anything, the album proves that Moore is at his best when interpreting other people's material - it easily ranks as one of his finest albums. /Stephen Thomas Erlewine, AllMusic

Released by BMG , we’re presenting in exclusive at 0dayrox the new GARY MOORE double-CD set “Parisienne Walkways: The Collection”. Not to be confused with the single disc ‘Parisienne Walkways: The Blues Collection’ appeared almost twenty years ago and only focused into Gary’s blues era, this new 2020 2-CD set encompass all Moore’s career since the late Seventies, all remastered material.

Indeed, we find songs from Moore project G-Force like ‘Dancin’ or ‘Rockin’ and Rollin”, his metal years like 1983’s ‘Nuclear Attack’, to the Nineties / 2000’s bluesy rock era.
Of course, there’s the epic ‘Parisienne Walkways’ in its live take, which all over the years has become Gary’s most celebrated version (there’s several recorded) over the original studio track.

If there’s a musician I miss so much – among other irreplaceable like R J Dio – it would be Gary Moore.
Only available on physical format, “Parisienne Walkways: The Collection” is a stupendous 2-CD set covering the many faces, talented faces of the unique Gary Moore.
HIGHLY Recommended

Some shows are so momentous, they pass into rock ‘n’ roll folklore. When Gary Moore stepped onto the stage of London’s Islington Academy on December 2nd, 2009, it was a true one-off, showcasing one of blues-rock’s biggest names in an intimate club setting. Nobody in the sell-out crowd that night suspected the great Irish bluesman was close to the end. But when Moore passed away fourteen months later, aged just 58, the show took on added poignancy, cherished as one of his last stands, kept alive in the memories of those who attended. Now, a decade later, the release of Live From London on Mascot/Provogue resurrects the much-missed Irishman, bringing his blazing talents back into the spotlight, catching the sparks of that night in the capital, and bottling a performance that stands amongst Moore’s very best.

Any time Ginger Baker and Jack Bruce work together, comparisons to Cream are inevitable. Given that this album's opener, "Waiting in the Wings," bears a passing resemblance to "White Room," and that this is then followed by a "Crossroads" knockoff, perhaps the comparisons are justifiable. Unfortunately, BBM doesn't benefit from such self-plagiarism. The weak link is, surprisingly, not with the Clapton stand-in, Gary Moore -- it's in the underwhelming drumming and bass playing by the two bona fide Creamsters. Bruce's voice is as pleasing as ever, but his and Baker's merely competent English blues instrumental work will fall short of the expectations of fans who know what they're capable of. ~Review by Paul Collins
