Their music is brazenly uncompromising in its raw, heavy and dirty sound. Rooted in American-influenced blues rock, they have been challenging the boundaries between modern and vintage since their inception in 2014. Primarily, they've made a name for themselves through their live shows - whether it's for a rock-loving crowd or on the roots scene, Among Lynx have gained a cross-genre fanbase over the years. Despite the fact that the band has experienced departures and additions over the years, their most recognizable traits - dirty slide guitars, frenetic harmonica, and the strong, soulful vocals - remain.

Their upcoming third full-length album Once in a Blue Moon is their most dynamic and mature so far. They will take you on a journey through dirty alleyways of polluted cities, to deserted back-roads on the countryside, to lush vegetation of ancient forests. With roots deeply engrained in blues, soul and folk they have found the perfect combination of old and new. By experimenting with rock and pop they bring about a new, fresh, blues-scented pop-genre with lyrics with a feminist agenda. Their music is characterized by Eva-Mi’s solid rock ’n’ roll voice, Elin “Luffar Lo” Öberg’s melancholic and howling harmonica, Moa Brandt’s bold slide guitar and Tove Brandt’s virtuoso and rhythmic double-bass plucking. And of course, a whole lotta fierce backing vocals.

With roots deeply engrained in soul and blues a gang of rock musicians has found their home. “Among Lynx” experiments with rock and American folk in a way that takes the listener on a journey through the manifestation of many different roots styles into one. Between western back-roads and the dirty alleyways of cities “Among Lynx” makes a huge step, sending waves through the otherwise homogeneous and generic sea of “blues”. When guitarist Moa Brandt, doublebass player Tove Brandt and harmonica player Elin Öberg from the former blues trio “Someone You Admire” met singer Evami Ringqvist from the hard rock band “Thundermother” the musical project “Among Lynx” was formed, giving birth to the idea of raw execution in a swinging and exciting new band. The sound of electric/acoustic slide guitar, vocals, percussion, blues harmonica and contra bass will not leave you unaffected, that’s for sure.
