Dave Ellis first started playing guitar aged nine in 1976. By the summer of 1983 Dave Ellis was gigging at local colleges and bars. His love of the guitar and the music which he played with such passion and fluidity was felt by everyone who experienced one of these live shows.

During the mid eighties Dave Ellis decided to put together his own Blues band, playing as a three piece like many of his major influences had done before him. The band worked the UK’s circuit mostly Bars and Party’s.. It was n’t until after ten years of hard gigging that he started to play bigger and better venues as well as Festivals.

Performing material from pre-war era Delta Blues through to contemporary Blues, Dave Ellis and his three-piece Band perform a Texas/Chicago English/American hybrid Blues/Rock. Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Buddy Guy remain Dave Ellis’s greatest influences. He also performs as a Duo with various partners, and as a Soloist, Featuring acoustic, electric and Resophonic guitars. Having Performed 28 European Tours including numerous Tutorial Guitar Workshops, Festivals, and Concerts from U.K to Chicago Illinois to eastern Europe. Dave Ellis is continuing to play the Blues and evolve his prestigious talent.
