Chicago electric blues honed and influenced by playing along side such Chicago blues luminaries as Eddie C. Campbell, Big Smokey Smothers, Little Smokey Smothers, Kansas City Red and virtually anyone else you can name on the Chicago blues scene for the last forty years.
This is Mojo Mark's inaugural release and what a debut it has turned out to be. Mark puts his own unique stamp on the genre with an album that is as dynamic and exciting as any traditional Chicago blues recording we have seen in a long, long time. "Mojo Mark's Chicago Blues Party" is an all original album (no trite overdone covers here) that showcases his unique songwriting ability and solidifies his place as a musician's musician on the Chicago blues scene - with songs featuring him on harmonica, guitar, and piano as the tracks progress through the album.
The sidemen are also mainstays of the Chicago blues scene and include the incomparable Billy Flynn (guitar), Mark's own brother Grant Cihlar (slide guitar), Mike Flynn (bass), and Steve Bass (drums). An all-star band for an all-star recording.
