The Dave Moretti blues revue, established in 2005, is composed of young Italian musicians. Their common passion is blues & swing. They play in the mood of the west coast area of the States, mixing down the jazz culture with the afro-american tradition of the blues. Their live setlist is made of a lot of classics, rearranged to obtain that swing & jive mood, and some new songs. Intensity, passion, spontaneity and emotional involvement of the audience: their 2 hours live show caters to the listener a rich menu based on swing, blues, soul, funk, rhythm ‘n’ blues and mambo!
In 2009 they realeased their debut album Bluesjob produced by Dave Moretti in Bottleneck studio (Turin). The album feature some classic tunes by Ray Charles, Percy Mayfield and Little Walter that had been finely tuned night after night out on the road over the last years. Thus in the cd you can find also some new songs written by Dave and Damir, trying to find their own way. Joined by specials guest like, they’re ready to hit the road again promoting their work!
Dave Moretti blues revue today plays most of the important venues of Northern Italy and takes part in important blues festivals (like the “Gilgamesh blues festival” held annually in their hometown, Turin), sharing the stage with blues giants as the legendary Sonny Rhodes, Nico Wayne Toussaint, Kellie Rucker, Mark Hummel, Jerry Portnoy, Mark Dufresne, Jono Manson, Amar Sundy, Gail Muldrow, Steve Harvey, Carvin Jones and Brian Templeton. In 2007, the band played at the third national Mini Rally Racing and in 2008 the blues revue has been the house band of the jazz club “Le Ginestre” in Turin, playing once a month for a year with special guests.

"Good Morning Judge" is the opening of the new Dave Moretti album " That 's Swing ! " Everyone will now undoubtedly understand the definitions of swing music cited : the uptempo rhythm is there, the saxes groove , the requisite guitar solos Nefat be heard and , Moretti sings like a young Armstrong . For the title song " That 's Swing ! " Moretti can rely for the first time on the backing vocals of "The Sublimes " and on a tight drumming Alessio Sanfilippo . " Dancin ' " is a more bluesy track with additional support from pianist Maurizio Spandre . The Nat King Cole cover " Straighten Up And Fly Right" is another uptempo song , with several jazzy improvisations of ao Nefat and Moretti on harmonica. Alberto Gurrisi 's intro of "Just like A Dog " is just a taste of what else is to come . In this slow blues come again "The Sublimes " very soulful in the duets between Moretti and leave only hear that he is a top harmonica player . The track with the striking title " Gsus " [ Moretti mean here the English "Jesus " ? ] Is a full-fledged blues harmonica track , which floats on a sultry mambo rhythm. On the last jazzy cover " I Walked Away" guest guitarist Maurizio Pugno takes a moment of Nefat and explains bassist Pavone a tight pace. We finish again full swinging with " You Know Way " , the final composition of Moretti . Gurrisi allowed between the entertaining solos by the other band members , again his last grooves glean .
