Miriam Hobbs is an 18 year old Bluesy Jazz singer from the Texas Hill Country. She has been working with Austin talents like Tommy Byrd, Dave Scher, & Chip Dolan out of Byrd Street Studios. The goal of the album is to recreate blues and jazz music with a new perspective and a blend of todays music.
"Here it is my first album! One of my greatest accomplishments. Each one of these songs was a challenge. I challenged myself to explore more, expand farther, reach higher, and dream bigger. There are upbeat tunes and ballads, Bluesy and Pop, Rock and Jazz, each track is different. I wanted each song to have its own special feeling to it. Sometimes I'd think the song was going in one direction and then it would make a complete U-turn and surprise me! I fell deeper and deeper in love with each song. The harder I worked on the song, the more difficult it became to say "Ok, I think its ready."
They say that you are your own worst critique and artists have a hard time finishing anything. They are right. Yet, here I am ready to give all that I've got. I'm ready for you to listen. It's your turn. I challenge you now. Listen and hear what unbelievable joy, soul wrenching pain, complete loneliness, never ending love, and creativity sounds like in just one CD.
