“Take the music past where you found it.” This is the guiding bible of the Katz Sass. A modern day blues band from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with roots in Texas blues topped with a taste of 1960’s British and Irish blues guitar influence.
Always looking for ways to push the envelope, the Katz Sass blend the souls of the old masters with the edgy riffs of modern blues stylists to transform the songs and struggles of the past into present day tales of love, life, and dreams.
This outstanding combination of Ronnie Long on vocals and Joe Barborich on guitar, with Steve Campeau on drums and Scott Briese on bass, allows this four piece band to shift gears from old time classic blues to modern day blues-rock.
This award winning band is a 2013 WAMI Nominee for Blues Artist of the Year! They have won the 2013 Grafton Blues Challenge and the People's Choice Award. They were voted runner up for Milwaukee’s Best Blues Band in the Shepherd Express Best Of Milwaukee 2008.
