This is a historic time for The Alligators. A lot of bands seem to come and go on a fairly regular basis but these guys have been playing their brand of blues, Detroit Style for 20 years. Not to say there hasn't been a few personnel changes over the years; hell Pete's only been with the band 8 years now, Steve and Mark joined 15 years ago. The two founding members of the band have remained consistent throughout. David Krammer on vocals, and Wailin' Dale on harmonica. It was their vision 20 years ago that has kept this band working and creating some of the best sounding original blues that has come out of Detroit since John Lee and Eddie Burns. "Twenty To Life" - The Alligators live, no overdubs. They just set up, and played just like The Alligators do every week in the clubs throughout Michigan, Ohio and Indiana and hopefully somewhere close to you. /Spider, Detroit Blues Society

The Alligators have been playing this kind of music, in there own unmistakable way, for twenty eight years.

This “attitude” they bring to the stage each night has everything to do with their respect for the blues and their love of playing it together as a band.

The Alligators have been playing it together for a long time. Lead vocalist Dave Krammer and harmonica player Wailin’ Dale started the band in 1984, The band also consists of three very well respect musicians. Frankie Lee on bass, who joined in 2007. Jon Johnson on drums, joined in 2008. Nick Tabarias, guitar, who joined in 2012, when long time guitarist and friend Steve Schwartz passed away unexpectedly.. Steve had played in The Alligators for 20 years.

This longevity is a testament to the success they have achieved and has helped develop them into one of the tightest and most sought after bands in the Midwest.

The Alligators not only have impressive lasting power as a band but an impressive recording history as well. Beginning in 1994 with their debut CD “Gimme Some Skin” , they have recorded four successful and highly acclaimed CDs to date. They have also had songs included on three compilation CDs as well.

Whether it’s local clubs in the metro Detroit area or premier clubs and festivals throughout the Midwest, The Alligators are longstanding favorites of music lovers that like to have a good time!
