In February 1995, in downtown Berlin, the first appearance of "Four Of A Kind" took place. Peter Behne, for ten years drummer with Eb Davis, had wanted to start his own business and asked Jan Hirte, a guitar player he had known for a few years and had met on several sessions, to join in. Jan joined and brought his buddy, guitarist and blues harp master Sven Hoffman, on board. The post of bassist was filled with Eberhard Post, a companion from the Eb Davis days.

They rehearsed and played, but somehow it did not fit. Then Jürgen Magiera comes in, an organ builder and pianist with a very special timing. Soon, Magiera and Behne hits the road as a duo under a new name: Boogie Radio. In 1999 their first CD, "Music To Watch Girls By", was recorded with BB & The Blues Shacks as the band in the background. (Translated from German)
