With their new album Just For You, Belgian blues and roots band The Dibs deliver a vibrant mix of rhythm & blues, soul and groove-driven roots music. The record offers nearly fifty minutes of warm, organic sound - recorded live in the studio with only minimal overdubs. The five musicians of The Dibs may have climbed many musical mountains over the years, but they still play with the enthusiasm of a young band. Formed in 2019, the group has grown into a tight unit that blends experience, musical curiosity and pure enjoyment.
Their sound moves effortlessly between blues, soul, funky grooves, jazzy touches, gospel and even a hint of country and blues-rock. On Just For You, that musical openness translates into a cohesive album full of groove, emotion and strong songwriting. Importantly, the band chose a fully organic approach: no electronics, no artificial intelligence - just musicians in a room capturing the moment. The result is rhythm & blues soaked in what the band calls “a hot soul sauce.”
