Pascal (Red), the band’s lead vocals and harmonica player, decided to delve into the liner notes of his favorite records to seek out the best producer for the new album. Trusting both his instincts and his love for a recording by Nine Below Zero, he got in touch with that album’s producer Gary Bromham. He didn’t yet realize that Gary had already worked with such illustrious groups as U2, Björk and George Michael! The British producer came on board and immediately understood the importance of highlighting the variety of cultural influences that defines the music of the Shaggy Dogs. The result of this exciting collaboration is their new opus, All Inclusive, a subtle production that explores a new musical direction for the band.

It was inevitable. For their third album, Shoggy Dogs went directly to the source: direction London with a detour at Pat Collier (Vibrators, Inmates, Primal Scream ...) to mix the pieces. And when we know that the first engravings of the group in 1999 were covers of Lee Brilleaux (Dr. Feelgood) for an eponymous Tribute, the treacherous trip Albion is not far from the pilgrimage. Since 7 albums, their Rock Pub (since that's what it's about) does not invent anything, but restores the genre to the level required for regular consumption. Dry and nervous, stretched like a string, this rock hits the uppercut. It rings in the first round. The Guinness magic potion is the only one to put back square after such a diet. And it's been more than 15 years that it lasts! Even the Japanese succumb to the charm with a mini tour in the land of the rising sun in spring 2009. It was not until 2011 to listen to the fourth opus of Paris produced by Al Cott (Joe Strummer, Johnny Thunders). The charm always operates and the arrival of a new drummer (Guillermo) does not change this evidence. The pleasure is such that they put it back in 2013 with "Renegade party". And it's always towards the perfidious Albion that they turn in 2017 to record their seventh episode with this time the help of Gary Bromham, the man who made the best Nine Below Zero. We do not rebuild. Oh yes, by the way, a shaggy dog story is a story without head and tails. Go understand. (Translated from French.)

For those who claim membership in a musical chapel, the Shaggy Dogs are traitors, for it is impossible to classify them in a specific style. Blues? Not only. Pub Rock? Too restrictive! Rock, then? Soul ??? They are all this at once, a simple and clever mix that they call Fiesta Blues'n'Roll. So yes, they are rebels and outlaws, because they refuse the stereotypes associated with this or that genre and free themselves from the rules. They chose freedom, and their universe feeds on all music provided that they allow to celebrate and make their public dance. "Renegade Party" is an additional step in this search for freedom. While feeding on the influences of their great elders, this new opus marks an artistic maturation and imposes the leg Shaggy Dogs. With "Renegade Party", the Shaggy Dogs look to the future and open another page of their story. Armed with this new nugget under their arms, they will set out to attack Japan, Benelux, Antipodes ... and all the venues and festivals in France and Navarre that have not yet opened their doors to them. Recognized as one of the major actors of the European scene, they represented France at the European Blues Union in March 2013. And like many afficionados who have had the opportunity to see them on stage, come and share their music in Live: it is in this festive context that these friendly renegades express themselves the best!
