Renato Chicco Organ Trio • This Is New
Renown Jazz pianist, organist and professor Renato Chicco brings us his debut organ recording, on Barnette Records, 'This Is New'. It features Mr. Chicco on the fantastic Key B organ, designed and built by Elvio Previati. Accompanying Renato Chicco are Guido DiLeone on guitar and Andy Watson on drums. The date particularly exhibits Chicco's musical skill and mastery of the instrument, while always maintaining a sense of spontaneity and fun. There are 7 standards, all arranged by Mr. Chicco and 1 original tune Big Guy, The Shark: an intricate and swinging blues. 'This Is New' is a fresh and sophisticated project in the great tradition of the organ trio in Jazz.

El renombrado pianista de Jazz, organista y profesor Renato Chicco nos trae su primera grabación de órgano, en Barnette Records, 'This Is New'. Presenta al Sr. Chicco en el fantástico órgano de tecla B, diseñado y construido por Elvio Previati. Acompañan a Renato Chicco Guido DiLeone en la guitarra y Andy Watson en la batería. La fecha exhibe particularmente la habilidad musical y el dominio del instrumento de Chicco, manteniendo siempre un sentido de espontaneidad y diversión. The Hammond organ, is enjoying a new successful season and certainly Vito di Modugno is among the best Hammondisti in circulation, remembering that was voted as one of the best organists in the world by the American magazine “Downbeat” which the italian jazz magazine “Music Jazz “has included him among specialists of Hammond organ in the insert and cD dedicated to the history of this instrument Di Modugno was constantly winner in 2011, 2012 and 2014,2015 Jazzit Award as best Italian organist.
