Lachy Doley's 3rd studio album CONVICTION. Recorded in Jan 2015 at Freight Train studios in Botany took the group to new heights and new places in the world. Touring the album in Australia, Germany, Holland, United States and the United Kingdom. 
It features more Hammond coolness, the addition of some very bluesy Whammy Clavinet as well as Lachy's signature vocal style.

El tercer álbum de estudio de Lachy Doley, CONVICTION. Grabado en enero de 2015 en los estudios Freight Train de Botany, llevó al grupo a nuevas cotas y nuevos lugares del mundo. La gira del álbum les llevó por Australia, Alemania, Holanda, Estados Unidos y el Reino Unido. 
Destaca por el toque cool del Hammond, la incorporación de un Whammy Clavinet muy bluesero y el característico estilo vocal de Lachy.

Lachy Doley • A World Worth Fighting For

 

The title track from  ‘A world Worth Fighting For ‘is a call to arms for us to do much more to head off the worst scenarios of unabated climate change.  Lachy comments: “With the effects of climate change becoming more real than ever, it’s hard to remain optimistic about what sort of world we are leaving for our kids.”

Lachy is renowned for his keyboard mastery and the track features a collection of classic keyboards along with a horn section and soulful backing singers.

Jimmy’s son Jackie Barnes (drums) and daughter Mahalia Barnes (backing vocals) are joined by Joel Burton on bass, Ray Cassar on trumpet, Anthony Kable on trombone, Matt Kegan (tenor and baritone saxophone) and Jade Macrae, Bec Jensen, and Karen Lee Andrews all joining Mahalia on backing vocals.

Lachy is highly respected in the industry and he’s regularly referred to as the Jimi Hendrix of the Hammond organ.  Artists want to work with him so it’s no surprise that he’s assembled an impressive line-up for this recording.

A World Worth Fighting For has Lachy’s trademark underlying blues and soul influences  but it also contains elements of funk .

La canción que da título a "Un mundo por el que merezca la pena luchar" es una llamada a las armas para que hagamos mucho más por evitar los peores escenarios de un cambio climático que no cesa.  Lachy comenta: "Con los efectos del cambio climático cada vez más reales, es difícil seguir siendo optimista sobre el tipo de mundo que estamos dejando a nuestros hijos".

Lachy es famoso por su maestría con los teclados y el tema cuenta con una colección de teclados clásicos junto con una sección de vientos y coristas conmovedores.

Jackie Barnes (batería), hijo de Jimmy, y Mahalia Barnes (coros), hija de Jimmy, están acompañados por Joel Burton (bajo), Ray Cassar (trompeta), Anthony Kable (trombón), Matt Kegan (saxofón tenor y barítono) y Jade Macrae, Bec Jensen y Karen Lee Andrews se unen a Mahalia en los coros.
