Organist Nick Rossi's On the Outset is an easy set to enjoy. The
soul-jazz music is pretty basic with a fine organ-tenor-guitar-drums
quartet romping through blues, bluesy material and boogaloos. Nick
Rossi, tenor saxophonist Aaron Rossi and guitarist Steve Burke all take
soulful and swinging solos while drummer Sameer Gupta provides fine
support. The relatively brief playing time and the interchangeability of
the originals, none of which have memorable melodies, keep this from
being an essential set but soul-jazz fans will savor this spirited
effort.

On the Outset, del organista Nick Rossi, es un juego fácil de disfrutar.
